Campsite Børsmose Beach

What we liked most about Børsmose Strand Camping was definitely its location. The campsite lies right among the dunes, just a few steps from the North Sea. From the moment we arrived, there was that wonderful feeling of space, wind and sea – exactly what we love about the Danish west coast. We especially enjoyed being able to choose our pitch relatively freely among the dunes. Even though the campsite is quite large, it does not really feel like a typical organised campground. Instead, it feels much more like camping in nature right next to the sea. Being able to simply walk over the dunes for an evening stroll on the beach is something very special. We were a little less impressed by the sanitary facilities. They were perfectly usable, but some areas clearly felt rather dated. At a simple and inexpensive nature campsite, that would not bother us at all. But at €46 for one night for two people, we had expected a little more. It seems we are not alone with that impression. Recent reviews also mention the higher prices, older sanitary facilities and the rather limited number of showers. At the same time, people repeatedly highlight the same thing we enjoyed most: the fantastic location directly behind the dunes. For us, Børsmose Strand Camping is therefore a place we are glad to have experienced once. The setting really is exceptional, and spending a night here was definitely something special.
