This time, we ended up at Ostseecamp Lehmberg near Waabs for a few quiet days by the Baltic Sea. Our pitch is in a fantastic spot – only about 20 metres from the beach. Especially at the beginning of October, there is something really nice about being this close to the water: a quick walk down to the sea in the morning, a stroll along the beach and then back to the warm motorhome.

At the moment, the campsite is wonderfully quiet. Of course, that probably should not be taken as an indication of what it is like during the main season. We are here very late in the year and many of the pitches are already empty.

The campsite itself is clean and well maintained. There is a small shop with fresh bread rolls, a bistro, modern sanitary facilities and even a fishing lake. Nice extras, but for us the real highlight is definitely the location right by the Baltic Sea.

The price is a little less impressive. We are paying around €150 for four nights, which we think is quite a lot for the beginning of October and well outside the main season. You are definitely paying for that great seaside location.

Still, it is a lovely place to spend a few relaxing days by the Baltic Sea. We especially enjoy it here at this quiet time of year – and having the beach only 20 metres away is pretty hard to beat.
